Dec. 7 is Zoo Boise’s only free admission day of the year.
“This is our way to thank the community for all the support received by Zoo Boise throughout the year,” according to a Boise Parks and Recreation news release.
The zoo will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Local groups will provide musical entertainment throughout the day and Santa Claus will be available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. A small fee for photos with Santa will benefit zoo conservation programs.
Claus ‘n’ Paws isn’t just for humans, though.
“You won’t want to miss seeing the zoo residents receive their holiday gifts,” according to the release.
