Zimo’s gear: LED lantern’s bright

light

The Coleman Twin LED HP Lantern’s one bright light for camping.

  • Fall’s here and day’s are getting shorter, which means you’ll probably be doing the dishes in the dark at hunting or fishing camp.
  • I got a chance to see the Coleman LED lantern in action on the Salmon River while steelhead fishing. At 580 lumens on high (10 lumens on low), this battery-operated lantern is the brightest Coleman currently offers. Uses four Cree 7090 XR-E Emitter LEDs. Infinitely adjustable dial for multiple output settings from ultralow to high. Base unscrews without requiring tools for easy access to battery compartment. Weather-resistant construction. 75-hour run time on low. 8-hour run time on high. Powered by eight D-cell batteries (not included). Cost: About $80; Google Coleman LED lantern.
