Young chess players headed to championship collecting food for Idaho Foodbank

Want to support Treasure Valley chess champions — and the Idaho Foodbank?

Members of the Idaho Chess Team are asking for one can of food for each game a team member wins at the 2013 SuperNationals Chess Championship in Nashville, Tenn.

Thirty-eight children trained at Vellotti’s Chess School will be competing in the chess championship April 5 to 7 and collecting food for the Foodbank.

Learn more about the team and find a player to support at www.IdahoChessTeam.com, then e-mail pledge@idahochessteam.com or call (713-2486) to make pledges.
