CONTEST OVER: Win free tickets to Big Head Todd & The Monsters concert 3/27

59-atlgSinger-guitarist Big Head Todd hasn’t headlined an indoor concert in Boise since 2010, when he gigged at the Knitting Factory. He’ll step up in venue size when he headlines next Thursday at the Revolution Center with his band, The Monsters.

The group, which formed in 1986 at the University of Colorado, is known for its grassroots following and strong live shows —  including, of course, early 1990s hits such as “Circle” and “Bittersweet.” Sweetest of all for fans? The band will play two full sets.

OK, I lied. There’s something sweeter: I have four tickets to give away to the concert.

Here’s how to win a pair:

Between now and 9 a.m. next Wednesday, correctly answer this question: What is Big Head Todd’s real name?

Email the answer to mdeeds@idahostatesman.com with your first and last name, which will be used at will call if you win. To qualify for the contest, you must type the phrase “BITTERSWEET” in the subject line. One entry per person, please.

Using a random-number generator, I’ll pick a correct email then respond with the good news Wednesday to the winner.

Remember, if you aren’t lucky enough to win, you can always buy tickets.
