Wildlife and the weather

coyoteIt’s really hot out there and imagine being on patrol in the Boise Foothills looking for food.

I caught this coyote on my critter cam Tuesday in daylight and the camera said it was 106 degrees.

The coyote looks like it’s having a bad day looking for lunch. I would have thought coyotes would be bedded down in the heat of the day and going out on patrol at night. Apparently that’s not the case.

Most of the deer I’ve caught on the camera are moving at night or dawn.
