Vinyl Preservation Society of Idaho celebrates an anniversary

The Vinyl Preservation Society of Idaho will hold its sixth anniversary party at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at the Linen Building, 1402 W.Grove St.  This all-ages special event is open to the public. Admission is free for VPS members and $5 for member guests and the public. Full bar (I.D. required).
The sixth annual Boise Record Show and Swap will follow from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, at the Linen Building.

 A portion of proceeds from the party will benefit KRBX 89.9 FM Radio Boise, Southwest Idaho’s only locally programmed, noncommercial, community-based radio station. Radio Boise, which began broadcasting on terrestrial radio in April 2011, presents music, arts, culture, affairs and issues that are not well represented in other media offerings.

VPS Idaho will celebrate six years of communal listening enjoyment with DJs spinning vinyl (and only vinyl) all night long, visual projections by flashbacks, dancing and a costume contest with prizes. DJs scheduled to spin include Miss KimberlyPedro Rolasand Tony B.
