Video: ‘Blues in the Schools’ rocks Treasure Valley students

In 2006, the nonprofit Boise Blues Society launched “Blues in the Schools,” an outreach program to teach kids about blues music.

But in recent years, the Society has found schools less receptive. Why? President Ken Harris isn’t sure. Tighter curriculums, perhaps? Whatever the case, members of the Boise Blue Society are determined to keep the program alive.

It seems like a noble endeavor to me. Judge for yourself. Here’s video from a visit Tuesday, Feb. 18, to Canyon Springs High School in Caldwell.
