Varsity Extra athletes of the week (Nov. 25-30)

There were only a handful of games played last week because most schools were not in session. Boys and girls basketball will be in full swing beginning this week.

Please email nominations by Monday morning to rroberts@idahostatesman.com for performances based on the previous week.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Isaiah Wright, Borah: No surprise here. The reigning Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year had the best stats among games reported to the Statesman last week. Wright, a senior point guard and Utah commit, had a team-leading 18 points, five assists and four rebounds as the Lions defeated Bishop Kelly 55-34.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

D’Rae Tullock, Middleton: The senior post contributed a double-double in the Vikings’ 43-29 win over Vallivue last week. Tullock, a Division I prospect, scored a team-best 20 points with 13 rebounds to help Middleton improve to 3-2 overall.
