Megan Hochstein, Rocky Mountain: The Grizzlies completed their first unbeaten regular season in school history with two wins last week. Hochstein contributed 12 points, five rebounds, three steals, two assists and one blocked shot in limited minutes in a 63-23 rout of Eagle. The senior post and Idaho State commit then led Rocky to a 62-35 win over Centennial in its regular-season finale with a game-leading 24 points, plus seven rebounds, two assists, one blocked shot and one steal. Rocky Mountain (20-0) earned the No. 1 seed in the 5A District Three Tournament, which begins this week.
Travis Yenor, Ambrose: The Archers dominated in three games last week, beginning with a 61-39 victory over 2A North Star Charter. Yenor, a 6-foot-7 forward, had 35 points, nine rebounds, six steals and took two charges in the victory. He then scored nine points to put Ambrose up 27-2 after one quarter and did not play again in a 49-25 win against Gem State. Yenor capped off the week with 19 points and three assists in limited minutes in a 73-29 win against Canyon Springs, helping the Archers improve their record to 15-1 overall.
Harley DiLulo, Meridian: The senior picked up his 19th victory of the season at 195 pounds with a 10-3 decision over Centennial’s Joey Gutierrez last week in a 5A Southern Idaho Conference dual. DiLulo, who is the defending 5A state champion at 182 pounds, was one of just four Meridian wrestlers to win a match in a 61-15 loss to the defending 5A state team champions.
