Leah Bonner, Skyview: The Hawks improved to 13-0 in the 4A Southern Idaho Conference with two victories last week. Bonner posted double-doubles in both games, beginning with 23 points, 12 rebounds, four blocked shots, two assists and two steals in a 79-59 win at Mountain Home. The senior post and Alaska-Anchorage commit added 25 points, 14 rebounds, three blocked shots, three steals and one assist in a 72-53 victory at Bishop Kelly.


Derrick White, Capital: The top-ranked Eagles held onto their unbeaten status with two wins last week. White led Capital in scoring in both games. The junior guard contributed 21 points, seven rebounds and four assists in a 68-36 victory over Vallivue. In a 48-35 win against second-ranked Boise, White had 19 points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals, helping Capital improve to 14-0 overall and 12-0 in the 5A Southern Idaho Conference.


Brandon Gonzalez, Caldwell: The freshman had a big weekend at the Red Halverson Memorial Invitational at Minico High. Gonzalez won the 106-pound championship by pinning top-ranked Treyton Nilsson of Snake River in 2 minutes, 21 seconds. Gonzalez was then chosen as the most outstanding lightweight wrestler at the tournament, improving his overall record to 32-5.
