Megan Hochstein, Rocky Mountain: The Grizzlies remained undefeated with two victories last week. In a 69-50 win over previously unbeaten Mountain View, Hochstein contributed 16 points and nine rebounds. The 6-foot-1 senior post added 15 points, five rebounds, four blocked shots, two steals and one assist in a 60-28 win against Vallivue.
Nick Fitts, Melba: The freshman guard had a stellar debut for the Mustangs, making 17 3-pointers in three games, and two of those games were last week. In a 75-63 win against Weiser, Fitts set a school record with nine 3-pointers, finishing with 35 points and four rebounds. He then scored 22 points in a 53-46 victory over Fruitland.
Hayden Tuma, Centennial: The senior and three-time defending state champion opened the season with a pair of individual and team victories. In his first match of the season, Tuma pinned Timberline’s Ian Sweet before the official had even started the clock as the Patriots cruised to a 81-6 win. Tuma finished the week with a pin of Boise’s Isaiah Campbell in 2 minutes, 13 seconds and the Patriots went on to an 80-6 victory.
