Cody Reilly, Mountain View: The senior second baseman registered at least two hits in each of Mountain View’s three victories last week. Reilly went a combined 5-for-8 in a sweep of Centennial and then went 2-for-3 in an 11-1 victory against Boise.
Jordan Ward, Capital: The senior pitcher led the Eagles in the circle with four victories last week. Capital defeated Timberline (10-0), Mountain View (12-6), Meridian (7-5) and Eagle (4-3) as Ward totaled 16 strikeouts while going 6-for-15 at the plate with a double and five RBIs.
GIRLS TRACK & FIELD
Emily Hamlin, Boise: The junior posted the top time in the 3,200 meters among Idaho girls this season when she won the rated race in 10 minutes, 38.25 seconds at the Arcadia Invitational in Los Angeles. Hamlin also finished second in the seeded mile with a time of 4 minutes, 54.55 seconds.
BOYS TRACK & FIELD
Andrew Rafla, Timberline: The senior and Boise State signee ran the second fastest time in the nation this season in the 3,200 meters with his time of 8 minutes, 50.55 seconds at the Arcadia Invitational in Los Angeles. Rafla competed in the invitational race, finishing second. His time also ranks as the fastest among Idaho boys this season.
Bianca Mok, Boise: The defending state champion won both of her matches last week at No. 1 girls singles to help the Boise girls defeat Centennial and Timberline. Mok topped Centennial’s Ellie Gamble 6-4, 6-2 and then swept Timberline’s Grace Dickens 6-0, 6-0.
Kincade Kincheloe, Homedale: The Homedale boys won three matches last week against Vale, Ore., Payette and Ontario, Ore. Playing in the No. 1 boys singles spot, Kincheloe topped Vale’s Jordan Dobney 6-2, 6-0, Payette’s Brian Heleker 6-0, 6-0 and Ontario’s Valentin Morales 6-1, 6-1.
Gabby Barker, Vallivue: The senior and Texas Tech signee led the Falcons to two team victories last week. Barker shot a one-under 71 to win the 20-team Buhl Invitational at Clear Lake Country Club. She then posted a nine-hole 32 at Warm Springs.
Hunter Ostrom, Bishop Kelly: The sophomore and defending boys 4A state champion led the Knights to the team championship last week at the Mountain Home Invitational. Ostrom finished atop the 11-team field with his round of 69.
