Treefort: Youth Lagoon performs Sunday at the Main Stage

Boise band Youth Lagoon drew a large crowd to the Main Stage at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Frontman Trevor Powers showed off his recently beefed-up band; Youth Lagoon has grown from two to four members.

The addition of live drums made a major difference in the group’s sound, adding dynamics and power to Youth Lagoon’s spacey, increasingly psychedelic vibe.

The audience appeared entranced but not exactly inspired — at least to do more than stand motionless while Powers’ voice reverberated through Downtown Boise.

Youth Lagoon will head out on tour in April, making a spring stop at, among other places, The Gorge Amphitheatre for Sasquatch Festival.
