Tree trimming, removal to disrupt Boise River Greenbelt

The city of Boise’s Community Forestry crews will prune overhanging branches and remove hazardous trees from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday on the Greenbelt near the Boise State University campus, the city announced Tuesday.

The one-day project will temporarily disrupt pedestrian access near the Broadway Avenue underpass on the south side of the Boise River. Pedestrians and bicyclists are urged to use caution and follow marked detours.

Boise Community Forestry is responsible for the management of 41,000 trees in public parks and rights-of-way throughout the city. For more information, visit cityofboise.org/parks/forestry, send an email to forestryinfo@cityofboise.org or call (208) 608-7700.
