Treasure Valley students awarded Governor’s Cup Scholarships

Six Treasure Valley students are among 23 students statewide to receive the Governor’s Cup Scholarships  for students attending Idaho colleges and universities.

The scholarships bring them $3,000 a year for up to four years.

Selections were based  students’ commitment to public service, academic achievement and community involvement.

Treasure Valley students are:

Melissa Goetz,  Meridian High School, attending the University of Idaho

Desirae Goff,  Garden Valley High School, attending Lewis-Clark State College

Mikayla Payne, Renaissance High School, Meridian, attending Idaho State University

Zachary Reynolds, Kuna High School, attending the University of Idaho

Brett Wilder, Meridian High School, attending the University of Idaho

Holly Wilkerson, Emmett High School, attending the University of Idaho

“I admire them for their determination, hard work and ambition,” said Gov. Butch Otter. ” They truly are deserving of this help to continue their studies and reach their own best potential.”
