Treasure Valley radio hierarchy: Spring 2013

The spring 2013 Arbitron ratings, which measure listener share among radio stations, have hit the streets. They are broken down into endless demographics, but I like to watch the two below. Also, here is a link to fall 2012 numbers, so you can see changes among stations.

Listeners 12 and older between 6 a.m. and midnight (the overall bragging rights category):

Clarification: These are quarter hour share, or AQH, numbers. “Share” is the percentage of listeners tuned in to a station at a given time. KBOI’s 6.7 in 12-plus means 6.7 percent of everyone in the market listening to the radio at that time was tuned in to KBOI. “Rating” — the percentage of potential listeners in the market actually tuning in — is an entirely different thing.
