Because Hawk is so high-energy, the staff recommends that he go to a home without young children. He is described as a “special needs” dog because his previous owner said he may have Wobbler Syndrome. Learn about that here. The shelter is open seven days a week. Hours are: Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday-Monday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, and 2 p.m.-6 p.m Fridays, or by appointment (794-0944). The cost is $85 for dogs, $95 for puppies, and that includes spay/neuter and vaccination.
