The payoff for patience, great weather and good fishing

Photo by Roger Phillips I caught myself saying “it’s usually not like this.” It’s a common phrase on a slow day of fishing. It was windy and partially cloudy on the Snake River, a storm front loomed on the horizon.

Monday morning QB: Great weather at Lake Lowell, bass fishing a little slow

The weather was great, and apparently others agreed that it was a great day to be on Lake Lowell on Saturday, May 4. I managed to catch one nice largemouth bass, but overall fishing was pretty slow for fly fishing.
