Sun Valley Resort will debut night skiing on Dollar Mountain during its Presidents’ Day weekend celebration and who knows, maybe its something that’s in the future of the ski area.
Dollar Mountain’s Quarter Dollar and Progression Park will light up from 4 to 9 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 17. Admission for season pass holders and Blaine County pass holders will be free. General admission will be $20 for adults and $15 for kids, 11 and under. Same day lift ticket holders and discount and multi-day pass holders can purchase a $15 adult ticket or $10 for kids, 11 and under.
A free shuttle service will circle between Baldy’s turn-around and Dollar Mountain. Ski and snowboard rentals will be available.
The lighting at Dollar Mountain will be done for special occasions for now, said Jack Sibbach, resort spokesman. There is some hope for a permanent night skiing program for the mountain in the future, he said.
