Steely Dan is coming to Boise for an outdoor concert

Let’s hope they don’t “Do It Again.”

One-of-a-kind classic rock/jazz fusion act Steely Dan — which disappointed fans by canceling on Boise more than a decade ago — has been booked at the Idaho Botanical Garden for a concert Sunday, Aug. 11.

Tickets to the general admission show are $60 and go on sale Friday at TicketWeb.

This is major news for followers of the band, which has steered clear of Idaho until now. A Steely Dan concert was announced for June of 2000 at what then was called the BSU Pavilion. But after ticket sales were slow in nearby markets such as Portland and Spokane, the show was called off before it went on sale here.
