The Wolves (16-11) rode their hot streak to the state title game — improving to 5-0 in the postseason. Senior Tommy Barker smacked a two-run double in the first inning and didn’t walk a batter in the complete-game victory. Timberline will try to extend District Three’s five-year reign in 5A baseball against Coeur d’Alene or Madison.

Rocky Mountain 9, Boise 0
The Grizzlies (24-5) moved into the consolation final behind Josh Gasser’s three-hit shutout. Mason Smith was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
Boise finishes at 15-12.

Eagle 11, Borah 8
Austin Jackson smacked a two-run single in the Mustangs’ seven-run first inning and an RBI single in their three-run fourth. Eagle (18-9) will play Rocky in the consolation final.
For Borah (17-10), Montana Bilger went 2-for-2 and drove in three runs. He was 4-for-5 with a double, two triples and four RBIs in the tournament.

Sophomore Sage Diehm struck out 11 batters and yielded only one hit in a complete-game victory. Skyview will face Bonneville on Saturday in the 4A state championship. Casey Bennett had two hits and drove in three runs for Skyview.

Local winners (partial list):
• Rocky Mountain’s Eli McCullough (58-2.25) and Adam Lewis (53-11.25) go 1-2 in the 5A boys shot put;
• Rocky Mountain girls and boys 4×800 relays set the first overall state records of the day: 9:12.07 (girls) and 7:41.81 (boys);
• Mountain View’s Cambree Harbaugh 5A girls long jump (19-4.25);
• Bishop Kelly’s Neal Murphy won the 4A discus with a throw of 151-2.
• The 5A boys long jump was a close one: 1. Centennial’s Johnson (22-10.5), 2. Boise’s Harris (22-10), 3. Centennial’s Brock (22-8).

Saturday: Field events begin at 10 a.m., running events begin at 1 p.m.
