The public is invited to celebrate Hanukkah — the Festival of Lights — in Downtown Boise Wednesday. It starts at 7 p.m. at Capitol Boulevard and Myrtle Street.
The event, which marks the eighth and final night of the holiday, will feature the lighting of a 13-foot menorah. The lighting will be done by State Rep. Hy Kloc and Rabbi Mendel Lifshitz, director of the Chabad Jewish Center.
After the menorah lighting ceremony, participants are invited to dance, sing and eat latkes (potato pancakes).
