Want to give up an evening or afternoon or two a month for no money and very little recognition while you help sort out some of Boise’s most complex problems? Maybe public service is for you.
The city of Boise is looking for city residents who are interested in serving on a board or commission.
“Volunteer service on boards and commissions is a rewarding way to get involved with and give back to the Boise community,” according to a city news release.
If you’re interested in being appointed to a board or commission, send a resume and cover letter describing your interest in a particular board or commission to THall@cityofboise.org or Tracy Hall Johnson, Mayor’s Office, PO Box 500, Boise, ID 83701-0500. Letters are due February 28, 2014.
