See Spot Splash pool party for dogs, fundraiser in Boise Tuesday

Another sign of the end of the summer is See Spot Splash — the dog pool party at Boise’s Natatorium, 181 Warm Springs Ave.

Admission is free, but organizers will gladly accept donations. The fifth-annual pool party, sponsored by Boise Parks & Recreation and Idaho Humane Society, will raise money for Boise’s dog parks.

I took my dog, Gracie, last year. She followed the labs, jumping into the deep end of the pool. When she reached the edge, she decided the wading pool was just fine!

Swim, Gracie, swim! That’s my girl.

We both had a lot of fun. I should note that we arrived pretty late, and the line was long. But they let people in as others left, and we had plenty of time playing in the water. It’s a fun atmosphere.

Tuesday’s pool party will run from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. The maximum capacity is 50 dogs, and one-hour sessions will begin on the hour, starting at 3 p.m.

See the rules of the pool, and a waiver for dog owners online here.  For more info, call 608-7680.
