Sawtooth Salmon Festival set Saturday in Stanley

salmonThe festival will be at the Stanley Historical Museum from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The museum is located at the confluence of Valley Creek and the Salmon River off Idaho 75 between Stanley and Lower Stanley.

The event, sponsored by Idaho Rivers United, will have live music, a wild salmon dinner with beer from Sockeye Brewing, naturally, and kids activities, vender booths, artwork and educational tours of spawning salmon grounds and the Sunbeam Dam site. The salmon are in the Salmon River and people have been seeing them just below the Sawtooth Hatchery south of Stanley on Idaho 75.
