The annually sold-out Sasquatch Music Festival at The Gorge Amphitheatre isn’t just cool because it’s only seven hours away.
It has a more direct benefit: Since bands and performers already are in the Northwest, a few make a stop in Boise.
The latest coup: Sasquatch headliner Rusko, who will perform Saturday, May 25, at the Revolution Center in Garden City. (I supposed you could argue about what constitutes a “headliner,” but Sasquatch is definitely promoting Rusko heavily.)
Fresh off tonight’s sold-out Tiesto concert, this is a nice grab for the 2,200-capacity Revolution Center, which is quickly becoming the Treasure Valley venue of choice for major EDM acts.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. March 15 for $29.50 general admission, $59.50 VIP, at Ticketfly. (G.A. tickets will be $35 at the door if available.)
The opening DJs haven’t been announced yet.
In related news, tickets are still available for the Tiesto Afterparty tonight at the Powerhouse Event Center. I’m hearing there’s an excellent chance that Tiesto and his entourage will make an appearance. Dude doesn’t need sleep.

Hey Mr. Deeds, why no coverage of the local act opening for Tiesto? Not every day boise based artists get to share the stage with an act the size of Tiesto, let alone play a 100% original set!
Don’t worry. I heard Boise Weekly is covering tiesto
Leave it to the Boise Weekly to pickup the Idaho Statesman’s slack :).
For being a local paper you’d think they would care about the local musicians too =P.
I like how they post a video of a remix of Rusko’s song, not an actual video of Rusko.
