Rockstar Mayhem Festival is coming to Nampa’s Ford Amphitheater

Screen shot 2014-03-07 at 2.28.41 PMLocal heavy-metal fans groaned last month when the annual Rockstar Mayhem Festival announced its summer itinerary, and Idaho was not on the list.

Dudes, stop being wussies. You know things are always behind in this state. You just had to wait.

MayhemFest will return to its rightful stop in Nampa this summer: Wednesday, July 9, Ford Amphitheater (formerly Idaho Center Amphitheater).

Ticket details are still being worked out, confirms promoter CTTouring.

Organizers haven’t revealed the bands, but — as usual — a rumored lineup has leaked. Korn already confirmed its own presence, along with Avenged Sevenfold‘s. It seems totally realistic that Asking Alexandria and Trivium will be the other main-stage bands. And, as always, the overall event will feel a lot like Warped Tour for headbangers: multiple stages, motocross, booths, contests, etc.

Stay tuned to this blog — not just because I’ll have more ticket information soon. As usual, I’ll give away some free tickets to MayhemFest, too.
