Rivers gone wild: Warm rain brings floods and high water

U.S. Geological Service is reporting flood stages for the Weiser, Grande Ronde and Palouse Rivers. Most other rivers without dam control are rising. Here’s a quick sample of river flows for Monday, March 10 compared with a week ago:
Middle Fork of the Boise River near Twin Springs: 2,840 cfs, last week, 1,000.
Payette River at Horseshoe Bend: 5,000 cfs, last week 2,000.
Weiser River: 11,000 cfs, last week, 2,200.
Salmon River at White Bird: 11,700 cfs, last week 6,000.
