This weekend was perfect for floating the river — Saturday reached a high of 85, and Sunday topped that with a high of 92. The hot weather will stick around for Monday and Tuesday, when highs will be in the high-80s and low-90s, according to the National Weather Service.
But there will be a cool-off Tuesday night due to an upper-level disturbance from the west, and that’s expected to knock temperatures down to around 70. There could be some precipitation in the region Wednesday, and Thursday will be in the low-70s.
But temperatures will rise into the low- to mid-80s on Friday and stay toasty through next weekend. Time to get those rafts and tubes out of the garage.
