Rapper 2 Chainz is headed to Boise

Grammy-nominated rapper 2 Chainz is headed this direction Feb. 12, 2014, for the latest hip-hop event at the Revolution Center.

Known for hits such as “I’m Different” and “Birthday Song,” Georgia-based 2 Chainz will gig with openers Pusha T and August Alsina. The tour supports his sophomore album, “B.O.A.T.S II: Me Time.”

A veteran performer, 2 Chainz is half of hip-hop duo Playaz Circle. He put out his first solo album, “Based on a T.R.U. Story,” in 2012. It featured high-profile guests such as Kanye West and Nicki Minaj, and went on to sell a million copies. Last week, 2 Chainz was part of a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Song; he is featured on ASAP Rocky’s track “F***in’ Problems.”

Tickets to the 2 Chainz concert will cost $39.50 general admission, $69.50 VIP, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at Ticketfly.
