Program celebrates ‘Boise’s History, People and Places’

Boise: Its History, People, and Places is the performance of a one-act children’s musical.  The musical is written by Marguerite Lawrence, with the exception of one song, which is written and used with permission, by former Governor Philip E. Batt.

The musical is an historical chronology and a modern-day tribute to our city. Children present scenes and songs about how Boise became the thriving community it is today.

The musical will be presented at the Egyptian Theater by students from Morley Nelson Elementary School, North Jr. High, and West Jr. High.  The one-hour performance will be a free event, open to the general public. Funded in part by a BOISE 150 Grant.

Be sure to attend: 7 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday at the Egyptian, 700 Main S.
