Timmy Mueller of Post Falls High was named the 2012-13 Gatorade Idaho Boys Soccer Player of the Year earlier this week.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound junior forward led Post Falls to a 17-1-1 record and the 5A state championship this past season. Mueller scored 30 goals with seven assists, including two goals each in the state semifinals and state final.
“Timmy Mueller was phenomenal, that is the only way I can describe him,” Lewiston High coach David Kronemann said in a press release. “Not only was his athletic ability leaps and bounds ahead of my team, he was a student of the game. He knew where to be on the field to give himself and his team the best chance possible to score, move the ball and even defend.”
