Pilobolus is coming and here’s why you should be excited

Today I interviewed Matt Kent, an associate artistic director for Pilobolus, one of the most innovative and groundbreaking movement companies in the world. Our conversation ranged from fungus to dance to brain science. Pretty cool. The company will perform at the Morrison Center on March 2. Also, here’s something that shows how this company differs from the rest of the dance world. Kent and artistic director Robby Barnett collaborated with the robotics lab at Massachusetts Institute of Technology to create  a visual model for social networking using LED lights and umbrellas.
