The City of Nampa will save about $800 a month by switching phone service providers, according to a release from the city Tuesday. No information was immediately available on which company they were switching to.
During the change-over, phone service will be down for about 15 minutes — starting at about 10 a.m. Wednesday — and it may be spotty for up to an hour during the transition.
Police dispatch 9-1-1 calls will not be affected.
