Here are some ways to get your pets involved in the holiday season — and to help groups that rescue strays and abandoned animals.
PICTURE WITH SANTA OR ‘SANTA PAWS’?
Zamzows raises money for local rescue groups with pet photos taken with “Santa Paws.” Santa Paws will be from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, and Dec. 21, at these locations only: Fairview, State, Federal Way, Eagle, Watertower and Caldwell Boulevard stores. For specific addresses, click here. Donation of $8 goes to Idaho Humane Society in Boise and Pet Haven in Nampa.
Pet owners are invited to bring pets to pose for photos with Santa. A minimum donation of $10 is requested.
For each photo taken, H3 will donate a 15-pound bag of dog food to the Meridian Valley Humane Society.
The event runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at H3, 1801 W Cherry Lane in Meridian.
NOTE: The last night for pet photos with Santa at the Boise Towne Square mall is Monday, Dec. 15. Click here for details.
