Otter gets plenty of applicants for Ed Board opening

Twenty four people have applied to fill the vacancy on the Idaho State Board of Eduction left by Ken Edmunds, who was named director of the Idaho Department of Labor.

Among the applicants is Laird Stone, a former board member and now a trustee at the College of Southern Idaho, Idaho Education News reports.

Other noteworthy names on the list: former Republican representative Milt Erhart and Twin Falls Mayor Gregory Lanting.

Otter will cboose the replacement. The Legislature  must concur.
