‘One Billion Rising’ comes to Boise on Valentine’s Day

One Billion Rising is the largest day of action for the global activist movement to end violence against women and girls.

Join the Idaho Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence at 4 p.m., Friday, Feb. 14 on the steps of the Idaho State Capitol.

Balance Dance Company, high school dancers and community members will lead attendees in “Break the Chain,” the official One Billion Rising movement dance. The public will be welcome to participate in the dance.

Organizers encourage attendees to wear red or pink. The first 200 people to show up will get a free t-shirt.

And note, MUUV,  a local dance and yoga studio holds its second annual One Billion Rising event at 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 15 at the Trey McIntyre Studio, 2285 Warm Springs.
