A new strider trail for kids to learn the basics of mountain biking will be built later this fall at Boise Hills Park in North Boise, Boise Parks and Recreation announced on Friday, Nov. 1.
The .6-mile single-track trail will be named after Olympic gold medalist Kristin Armstrong and is intended for children under 12. Experts from the International Mountain Bicycling Association are working with volunteers from the Boise Area Mountain Bike Association on its design and construction. The $3,200 project was funded by a Neighborhood Reinvestment Grant awarded by the Mayor and City Council to the Boise Heights Neighborhood Association.
