Non-profit to offer lending for charter school construction

Constructing school buildings has become a challenge for several of Idaho’s charter schools.

Building Hope, a non-profit group that helps charter schools finance facilities, is opening in Boise, Idaho Education News reports.

“We lend to high-quality schools to support their expansion so they have the capacity to grow their enrollments,” said  S. Joe Bruno, Building Hope president.

The organization was formed in 2003 and has gotten $140 million in loans for charter schools, mostly in Florida and Washington D.C.
