NNU hosts Idaho forensics tournament

Northwest Nazarene University hosts the tournament that runs through Saturday, of the National Christian Forensics and Communications Association (NCFCA). Over 350 students and families from across the country have traveled to campus to participate. This is the first time Idaho has hosted a tournament and the first time many of the participants have visited the state.

NNU Assistant Professor of Communication Studies and Director of Forensics Brooke Adamson is serving as tournament host. “The students participating in this tournament address life issues facing us today from a Christian perspective. These young men and women will practice articulating their beliefs and values while working on their communication and critical thinking skills.”

Students are competing in speech and debate events, and winners will have an automatic berth to the 2014 National Championship that will be in June at Patrick Henry College in Virginia.
