Nampa School District’s newly named interim superintendent is getting some community help to find a new chief financial officer.
Pete Koehler announced Friday he is using an existing financial/audit committee to help with the selection to replace Michelle Yankovich, who announced this week she was leaving the district to return to the private sector this summer.
She will work the district to finalize its 2013-2014 school budget, which faces a possible $3.5 million shortfall. Idaho Education News reported Friday that the district could impose a 14 day furlough to eliminate much of the possible budget hole.
Keohler will add Anne-Marie Henning, a representative from Community for Nampa Schools and newly elected school board trustees Brian McGourty and Mike Fuller to the search committee.
