This month city crews will begin paving Partridge Pathway — a one-mile stretch of paved trail connecting the Wilson Greenbelt and Stoddard Rails to Trails pathways.
The new pathway, located behind The Islands subdivision, will include access to Wilson Ponds. It is located within a Nampa & Meridian Irrigation District easement and parallels the Partridge Lateral, used to deliver irrigation water to their customers.
Eventually, the Stoddard Rails to Trails Pathway will be extended to 2nd Street, but the city is still working out a plan to make that happen, Nampa long-range planner Rodney Ashby said in a press release.
A ribbon cutting will be scheduled in about a month after the Parks Department completes finishing touches, including signage, on the path.
