The Name the Score contest returns for its fifth season here at Murph’s Turf. Many thanks to all the readers who have participated (and won), as well as the fine folks at Domino’s who are providing this year’s prizes.
The rules are pretty much the same as they have been, but for any newcomers here they are.
This is a special edition of our Name the Score contest. It’s actually a double contest.
Boise State and Oregon State meet in Tuesday night’s Hawaii Bowl (6 p.m., ESPN) and San Diego State and Buffalo square off in Saturday’s Famous Idaho Potato Bowl in Boise (3:20 p.m., ESPN).
Listen to my audio prediction for Boise State-Oregon State with a bonus pick for the Potato Bowl.
Place your guesses for both games (whole numbers only, no fractions) with a winner and both teams’ score in the comments down below and we will pick one winner. (Please limit one guess per commenter.)
The closest to the actual score of the game wins.
All entries must be received by 2 p.m. Saturday for the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl and 5 p.m. Tuesday for Boise State-Oregon State.
I will contact the winner through the comments section.
If it comes down to tiebreakers, closest to Boise State’s (and San Diego State’s) actual score, closest without going over and then first received will be the tie-breaking order.
The winner of the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl contest will win a beanie (ski hat) from the game.
Congrats to Nancy Roberts, who won last week’s contest. She picked Boise State 47-22. The Broncos beat New Mexico 45-17.
