On the menu: H.J. took Max to the West Side Drive In for a Lassie Patty with Cheese and French fries with fry sauce.
H.J. and Max enjoyed lunch on the patio. Max was quite the gentleman and sat patiently for his lunch. Max was very comfortable and acted like he was a West Side Drive In regular. He was perfectly behaved and was content to lie down while H.J. finished his own lunch.
After lunch: H.J. took Max to Veterans Memorial Park to walk along the greenbelt. Max lit up when he saw the river and immediately rushed to get a drink. He naturally took to the water and wanted to go for a swim. Max was very relaxed in the car and nuzzled his way across the console to put his head in H.J.’s lap. H.J. said, “Max is a real good boy, he just wants to be someone’s buddy. He would make a great companion for someone that likes to be active with their dog.”
More on Max from the Idaho Humane Society:
Max is a big strong boy who also has a soft gentle side. He is very attentive, social, and well mannered but does pull on the leash. He is silly and playful when he is off leash in doggy playgroups. Max will need to go to a home without cats or small dogs. He longs for a family that will keep him inside and include him in family activities. He is house trained and rides nice in the car. He takes treats gently and he knows sit, down, and shake. He loves water and will eagerly get in a puppy pool. Due to his size it’s recommended that he go to a home with kids 6 and older.
