The Mountain West announced Wednesday that ROOT Sports Rocky Mountain will produce approximately 10 football and a minimum of 25 men’s basketball games this upcoming season.
ROOT Rocky Mountain is available on channel 683 on DirecTV and channel 414 on Dish Network. Cable One carries ROOT Sports Northwest, but not Rocky Mountain. Most games will not be available on ROOT Northwest, but most games involving Boise State are expected to be available on ROOT Northwest. Fans unable to watch games on television will be able to watch on the Mountain West’s planned digital network.
The announcement increases the total of televised Mountain West football games to 54, with 22 on ESPN networks and 22 on CBS Sports Network, in addition to the 10 on ROOT. For basketball, an agreement announced in March with ESPN and CBS Sports Network stated that the networks would air at least 31 men’s basketball games on their channels, with Wednesday’s announcement bringing the total to 56.
