Middleton students will meet with Otter to discuss pot legalization, other issues

The Middleton Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council will be visiting the capitol Wednesday, and they are scheduled to meet with Gov. Butch Otter to discuss topics of interest.

What’s on their minds? They plan to share their thoughts about marijuana legalization, safe driving, online classes and cyber-bullying.

“There is a lot of discussion in the legislature about these topics and the decisions
made will directly affect us as students,” Political Action Committee Chairman
Justin Crane said in a release.

Their trip will include a tour of the capitol, a meeting with senators and representatives and a discussion of the judicial system with Idaho Supreme Court Chief Justice Roger S. Burdick.
