Meridian trustee election races unchanged after review

Results of two tight Meridian School District trustee races last month did not change after Ada County discovered that two voters got incorrect ballots.

When the error was discovered, Ada County reviewed districting information for the races. In Zone 3, the two incorrect ballots did not affect the outcome between Carol Sayles, who got 339 votes, and Loraine A. Hand who received 330 votes. The Zone 1 race, in which the top two candidates were separated by four votes, had no incorrect ballots. Tina Dean won the race with 185 votes.
