Meridian High football unveils new uniforms

Head coach Porter Lacey introduced the football team’s new look at a spring assembly at Meridian High last week.

Lacey, who was hired in January to replace Kip Crofts, helped choose the new uniforms, which were produced locally by Bucks Bags.

“We are very excited about the new look and know that it will add to the current excitement surrounding MHS football,” Lacey said in a press release. “… They are extremely committed to the success of the program and deserve to look sharp.”

Although his assistant coaching staff has not yet been announced, Lacey said it will include coaches with experience playing and working in college football and professional football.

Lacey was previously the head coach at New Plymouth, leading the Pilgrims to five straight 2A state playoff appearances. He takes over a Meridian program that finished 1-8 last season and last won a 5A state championship in 2007.
