Meridian Council will discuss future of animal shelter Tuesday

In May,  Meridian Valley Humane Society officials notified the community that it is losing one of its kennel buildings to expansion of the wastewater treatment plant, and the fate of the shelter’s main building is up in the air due to possible future growth.

City officials say it’s time for the community to have a discussion about the shelter. The topic is on the City Council’s agenda for Tuesday night. The meeting is at 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 33 E. Broadway Ave.
