MayhemFest to reveal lineup next week

The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival has been a major hit for the Idaho Center Amphitheater ever since it began making Nampa an annual tour stop.

Catering to headbangers, the daylong event is a marathon of moshing, beer drinking and earplug fidgeting. In 2013, it will make its attack in Idaho on Tuesday, July 2.

The lineup hasn’t been revealed yet, but rumors are swirling. Some of the bands that seem very likely to play include Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch and Mastodon. (I don’t think am 99-percent sure Lamb of God will not be on the bill, despite that link. However, I will continue to dream of Rammstein playing MayhemFest someday. Not likely this year.)

Organizers just released a new video to hype the tour — as well as the announcement of the lineup, which will come Monday, March 18.

you really think lamb of god wont be on the bill even with randy being cleared of those charges over seas? personally dont want them to be since i seen them so many times and their newer music blows. anyone remember when they played JD and friends (now the red room) like 7-8 years ago?

I expect Lamb of God to tour this summer — possibly even through Boise — but not as part of MayhemFest.

Sounds to me like they could use LESS mayhem…
